Viewers are the impetus of our films: We actively solicit story ideas from our growing community atDocumentaryTV.com.Anyone can pitch a story they would like to see SI produce. The goal is to inspire the public to tell us what is important to them, and most importantly, we hope to hear from those who are close enough to stories to grant us access. We feel this is key to the success of our organization. This approach allows us to monitor the subjects that monitor our viewers while also creating a means by which those with access to stories actively seek us out with production opportunities.
A World of Stories. On Demand: Our primary goal is to have our films seen by as many people as possible and to build a community of repeat viewers. We want our viewers to become involved in our stories beyond the time when the film ends. To facilitate this, we are building DocumentaryTV.com as a film community website where viewers watch free content and have the opportunity to interact with film producers and others interested in the same film subjects. Think of the site as YouTube with a purpose. Viewers will rate, comment on and cross promote films on the site and have the chance to participate in online discussions and explore further content on film subjects.
